The Connected Awards is an independent global awarding body aiming at celebrating techies skills and influence in the global space.

• This is a Contract and these Terms constitute a contract. You may not use the Service if you do not accept these Terms. By using any part of the Service, you accept these Terms and you agree that you would be wholly bound by these Terms, and any future amendments and additions to these Terms as published from time to time on our website or application, or through the Service. It is your responsibility to remain informed of any changes as you are bound by the latest version of the Terms.

  If you are under ten (10) years of age, you must get your parent's consent before you use the Service.

• To provide you with the Service, you must authorize the provision of certain personal information to us as described in our privacy policy. Our privacy policy governing the Service is attached to and incorporated into these Terms ("Privacy Policy"). By accepting these Terms and using the Service, you consent to and authorize the collection and use of personal information in accordance with the Privacy Policy.

• You must keep your account secure. Should you choose to register or subscribe for any of our services or related features, you agree to provide accurate and current information about yourself and promptly update such information if there are any changes.

  You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your password and account. Furthermore, you are entirely responsible for all activities that occur through the use of your account or password. You agree to immediately notify us of any unauthorized use of your account or any other breach of security.

  Utilization of your account by either yourself and/or any other individual shall be deemed to be an authorized transaction and we shall not be responsible or liable, directly or indirectly, in any way for any loss or damage of any kind incurred as a result of, or in connection with, your failure to comply with this section.

  We reserve the right to remove, reclaim, or change a username you select if we determine, in our sole discretion, that such username is inappropriate, obscene, or otherwise objectionable.

• Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to view, download and print any of the content we make available through the Service, including any content licensed from a Third Party, but excluding your content ("Our Content"), solely for your personal and non-commercial use purposes; and

• To access certain features of the Services, you must register for an account.When you register for an account, you may be required to provide us with certain information about yourself (such as your name, e-mail address, phone number, or other contact information).You agree that the information you provide to us is accurate, current, and complete and will be kept up-to-date at all times.

• You must respect our rights in the Service.We grant you a limited, non-transferable, revocable, and non-exclusive license personal right and license to use the Service and any associated software application through which it may be provided.You shall not copy, decompile, reverse engineer, disassemble, attempt to derive the source code of, modify, or create derivative works of the software (except as, and only to the extent that, any of the foregoing restrictions are prohibited by applicable law or to the limited extent permitted by the licensing terms governing the use of any open-sourced components included within the software).

• Any fees that we may charge you for the Service, are due immediately and are non-refundable.Upon placement of an order for the Services, payment will be automatically deducted from your Bank Account (as provided by you) and which automatic deduction you hereby irrevocably consent to.We reserve the right to determine the final prevailing pricing.

• We may make promotional offers with different features and different rates to any of our customers.These promotional offers, unless made to you, shall have no bearing whatsoever on your offer or contract.Payment for the Service/s utilized in connection with the promotions shall be limited to payment via your bank account unless expressly stated by us.

• We may change the fees for our Service, as we deem necessary for our business.We encourage you to check back periodically if you are interested in how we charge for the Service.

• You acknowledge that it is your responsibility to ensure that all information provided by you, including but not limited to contact details.Any inability by us or a Third Party to render the Service/s as a result of incorrect information being supplied by you shall be deemed to be a failure to comply with these Terms of this agreement and you shall not be entitled to a refund and/or any remedy whatsoever.

• By using the Service, you agree that we and those acting on our behalf may send you text (SMS) messages, on the phone number, email you provide Us.You may opt-out of receiving them.

• We may discontinue the Service. We may in our sole discretion and at any time terminate your access to the Service or discontinue providing the Service or any part of the Service, with or without notice. You agree that we will not be responsible or liable to you or any third party for modifying or discontinuing the Service, or for terminating or suspending your access to the Service.

• The Service is provided without any warranties or guarantees.THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND.WE AND OUR THIRD-PARTY SERVICE PROVIDERS DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES WITH REGARD TO THE SERVICE, INCLUDING ALL IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.IF YOU ARE DISSATISFIED WITH ANY PORTION OF THE SERVICE, YOU MAY CHOOSE TO DISCONTINUE USING THE SERVICE OR ADOPT THE DISPUTE RESOLUTION MECHANISM AS PROVIDED IN THESE TERMS.

• We shall not be liable for any damages you may incur.IN NO EVENT WILL WE OR OUR THIRD PARTY SERVICE PROVIDERS BE LIABLE FOR ANY DIRECT, INDIRECT, PUNITIVE, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES, OR ANY DAMAGES WHATSOEVER INCLUDING, WITHOUT LIMITATION, DAMAGES FOR LOSS OF USE, DATA, OR PROFITS, ARISING OUT OF OR IN ANY WAY CONNECTED WITH THE USE OR PERFORMANCE OF THE SERVICE, WITH THE DELAY OR INABILITY TO USE THE SERVICE, THE PROVISION OF OR FAILURE TO PROVIDE SERVICE, OR OTHERWISE ARISING OUT OF THE USE OF THE SERVICE, WHETHER BASED ON CONTRACT, TORT, NEGLIGENCE, STRICT LIABILITY, OR OTHERWISE, EVEN IF WE OR ANY OF OUR SUPPLIERS HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.

• This contract is based on Nigerian law.These Terms are subject to, and shall be governed by, and construed in accordance with the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, without reference to the principles of conflict of laws thereof.

• To expedite resolution and control the cost of any dispute, controversy, or claim related to these Terms (each a "Dispute") brought by either you or us (individually, a "Party" and collectively, the "Parties"), the Parties agree to first attempt to negotiate any Dispute (except those Disputes expressly provided below) informally for at least 14 days.Such informal negotiations commence upon written notice from one Party to the other Party.

• Any matters arising concerning the interpretation, validity, or implementation of these Terms or any dispute, difference, or claim that cannot be resolved amicably by the Parties within 14 days, the dispute, difference, or claim shall be referred to for mediation, which shall be conducted in accordance with the Mediation Procedure Rules, or such other rules mutually agreed by the parties.

• If mediation is not concluded within 3 (Three) months of commencement of the mediation, the parties reserve their right to seek redress in an appropriate court within our jurisdiction.

• These Terms constitute the whole agreement between the Parties in regard to the subject matter hereof and no warranties or representations of any nature whatsoever other than set out in this agreement have been given by any of the parties.

• No relaxation or indulgence which any party may show to any other party to these Terms shall in any way prejudice or be deemed to be a waiver of its rights hereunder.

• Each and every provision of these Terms (excluding only those provisions which are essential at law for a valid and binding agreement to be constituted) shall be deemed to be separate and severable from the remaining provisions of these Terms.If any of the provisions of these Terms (excluding only those provisions which are essential at law for a valid and binding agreement to be constituted) is found by any court of competent jurisdiction to be invalid and/or unenforceable then, notwithstanding such invalidity and/or unenforceability, the remaining provisions of these Terms shall be and remain of full force and effect.

• Any substantive provision appearing in, or as a part of, any interpretative provision of these Terms shall have effect in accordance with its tenor, notwithstanding the context in which it appears.

• You agree that all agreements, notices, disclosures, and other communications that we provide to you electronically satisfy any legal requirement that such communications be in writing.

• These Terms operate to the fullest extent permissible by law. We may assign any or all of our rights and obligations to others at any time. We shall not be responsible or liable for any loss, damage, delay, or failure to act caused by any cause beyond our reasonable control.

• Assigning or sub-contracting any of your rights or obligations under these Terms to any third party is prohibited unless agreed upon in writing by us.We reserve the right to transfer, assign or subcontract the benefit of the whole or part of any rights or obligations under these Terms to any third party.
